Alas, we have reached the end of another year. Is it me or were we not just popping champagne to usher in 2017? Oh wait, we do that even when it’s not New Year’s Eve!
It’s been a pretty exciting year for me, perhaps that’s why its flown by so fast. I started the year with a girl’s weekend in Costa Rica, followed by a romantic winter getaway to Toronto, then 9 back to back weeks of weekend jaunts around the East Coast, a week in Ireland, then a 10-day venture through Italy and London. PHEW! That was a mouthful. Thankfully, I’ve been able to spend the last few weeks at home playing around New York City, enjoying all that the holiday season has to offer.
As I gear up to head back South for Christmas, and a little Panthers football, I wanted to reflect and say thank you for following my journey so far. Next year is going to be wild. I’m starting out January with my sister’s bachelorette party in Cancun (prayers, please) followed by a trip to Iceland (fingers crossed for Northern Lights).
From there, I’ll be in Hilton Head Island, for my sister’s nuptials, then on to Ireland to watch another friend tie the knot, and a trip to Switzerland to visit my newly engaged friends who are moving there for a few months (I’m soooo jealous) DAMN! Good thing I have a fresh new passport with extra pages, am I right? All of this, among a few other weekend trips I’ll throw in here and there.
So, I wish you and yours all the love, light, and laughter of the holiday season and a very happy, healthy New Year. Recharge and brace yourselves for 2018. Its going to be a hell of a ride, and I can’t wait for you all to come along with me.
